Oso Oso San Jose Concert reviews
"BLUE HOT!"
I got us good seats for Saturdays 7pm show since she likes many of the Oso Oso songs and had not seen them before. Since she likes many of the Oso Oso songs and had not seen them before, my girlfriend and I spent her birthday weekend in Chicago (10/1/11). I did the Ticketmaster.com thing. I had seen their show in Vegas 7 or 8 years ago and loved it. That show was pretty good also but not quite as "Impacting". I also seen one of their traveling shows about 3 years ago.
The comedy in the show was top notch and especially entertaining as no one spoke once throughout the performance! The cell phone part of the show was especially moving. The 3 musicians (keyboard, guitar of sorts and a drum set) who performed above the stage and behind a see-through screen were excellent. When the "Stick Dudes" started to walk out of the giant cell phones into "2.5" dimension and the 3 Blue Men joined in the song, it was OUTSTANDING! I partuicularly enjoyed the drummers performance. The 3 musicians who performed above the stage and behind a see-through screen were excellent. The cell phone part of the show was especially moving.
The only thing that would have made the show even better for me would be if they had played maybe 2 more of their popular songs. Especially "I Feel Loved".
As a former drummer, I was very moved by the intensity of that particular part of the performance. I was very moved by the intensity of that particular part of the performance. The cell phone part of the show was especially moving.
I now assume they got my name because I bought the tickets online and picked them up at will-call. My name flashed onto the video screen at the beginning of the show. It said I was a renowned space traveler and I should stand up for everyone to see me. I did and got some kind applause. No...I am not a space traveler as I am sure the other guy who had to stand was not an Olympic Curler who had won a silver medal! (chuckle)
So great comedy, terrific ROCKING percussion and a good time had by all! And yes, the Birthday Girl was ecstatic! 4-1/2 Stars.
